These four ceramic relief owls mounted on a natural wood slab look like the work of Mary and Tom Blakley. The Blakey's were prolific Florida ceramists working in the late 20th C. 12” x 52”.

In the 1960s ceramic artists in West Germany developed a technique using a thick, textured glaze they called lava. It created unique and beautiful affects on pottery pieces. This vase decorated with red slashes on black and black and white background is from the period and was made by Scheurich. 15 1/4” tall.

Le Voyage de Marco Polo was designed by Gianni Versace for Rosenthal Studio Linie. It features oriental motifs and saturated colors. The cups feature gorgeously attired camels on orange background. Zwielbelmuster, as it is called in German, was introduced in Meissen in 1739 and has been popular ever since. Interestingly, there are no onions painted on blue onion china—those are peaches and pomegranates on the rim. We have service for 8 and over a dozen separate serving pieces.
