Anatole Krasnyanski (Ukraine-USA 1930-2023) was best known for his watercolors and cityscapes. His colorful work combines themes of music, theater, architecture, and culture through creative configurations set in undefined space. Framed giclee. 34” x 35”.

An Andy Warhol silk screen (#4/250) of the patron saint of dentists. The saint and martyr Apollonia of Alexandria holds a pair of pliers with a tooth. The image is the result of a 1984 commission from the German dental publishing company Quintessence. Warhol borrowed his image from an Italian Renaissance fresco by Francesco della Pietro. Candido Bidó (Dominican, 1936-2011) "A Streetcar Named Desire" Paint on brown paper, 1982 Bido is among the best loved artists of the Dominican Republic. His sundrenched landscapes and vivid blue nocturnes celebrate his people and culture. Looks to be an idea for a poster for the Tennessee Williams play and is dedicated to Jose Quintero, "Great internationally known theatre director." We find no record of Quintero ever directing a Spanish production of Streetcar. 21.25" x 17.25" in frame.

SOLD Original Fauvist painting by Finch Hoyt. We cannot find any bio data on Hoyt which is surprising because he was (is?) an excellent painter with a fine eye for composition and color and confident technique and unique approach. Here Hoyt presents a fishing village rendered in heavily outlined books of color. Notice especially how the highlight on the water seems to illuminate the entire scene.
