It is the work of Turri, the family owned marquetry studio in Anagni, Italy south-southeast of Rome. Made 1994. 15-1/4" x 19-1/8" framed.

Lovely and tranquil farm scene with some geese in the lavender dusk. Frederick Theodore Weber (USA 1883-1956) excelled in painting, engraving and sculpture. He studied art at the Ecole des Beaux Arts, Paris, and in the studios of prominent artists. After returning to America in 1914 the South Carolina embarked on a successful artistic career in New York City. Works by Weber are in the collections of the Library of Congress, Metropolitan Museum, Smithsonian Museum of American Art and High Museum.
